Combine
the saskatoon berries, onion, molasses, vinegar,
ketchup, mustard, and pepper in a medium saucepan.
Bring to a boil over medium heat; reduce heat
and simmer, stirring often, for about 15 minutes.
Cool for 10 minutes.
Process
mixture in a blender until smooth, stopping
once to scrape down sides. Keep warm.
Grill
the steaks, without grill lid, over medium-high
heat (350F to 400F) for 5 to 8 minutes on each
side or to desired degree of doneness.
Serve
with the saskatoon berry sauce.
